Is it really free?
Yes, Medcorder is a free service for patients and doctors. We do not sell any personal information.
How do I get access to my recording?
Prior to recording you will be asked to provide your mobile phone number. When the recording is complete we will send you a text message with a link to access your recording on medcorder.com.
Will anyone else get access to my recording?
Your doctor and their staff will have access to your recording via a secure portal. You will have the option to share your recording with family after you sign up on medcorder.com.
Is Medcorder private and secure?
Yes; we carefully steward your data. The kiosk makes an encrypted connection to our backend servers to provide the audio file and the phone number you entered. We perform a machine transcription of the audio and provide both the audio and transcript to you personally as well as the staff of the doctor's office in which you recorded.
Do I have to record my appointment?
No. It's your choice whether you want to use Medcorder to get a copy of your recording. You may also ask your doctor for permission to record the encounter a different way.
